Exclusive Vinyl Releases: Highlights from Record Store Day 2022
This year's Record Store Day, happening on April 18 at independent record stores nationwide, will feature exclusive vinyl releases from iconic artists like Elton John, Rod Stewart, and Madonna. Elton John's release, Positiva Presents: Elton John – The Remixes, includes remixes of his popular songs like "Cold Heart" and "Hold Me Closer." Rod Stewart is offering a new version of his 1975 album Atlantic Crossing, titled Alternate Atlantic Crossing, with rare alternate versions of the original tracks. Madonna's release, The Confessions Tour – Live from London, captures her 2006 performance at Wembley Arena on starburst pink/purple splatter vinyl.
Additionally, Bryan Adams is releasing Tough Town, a collection of unreleased and non-album tracks on vinyl, accompanied by a photo booklet. The soundtrack to the NBC special Wicked: One Wonderful Night (Live) will be available as a two-LP set on splatter color vinyl, featuring performances by Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and the Wicked cast with a 37-piece orchestra. The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack will be released on special effect vinyl with original cover art, a fold-out poster, sticker sheet, and three snapshot cards.
