Russian Attacks on Ukraine Leave Two Dead and Seven Injured, Including Maternity Hospital Incident

Overnight and early Sunday, Russian attacks on Ukraine resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals and left seven others injured, according to regional authorities. One of the attacks targeted a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia, injuring two women who were undergoing a medical examination. These assaults occurred as a unilateral reduction in Russian strikes on Ukraine, announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, was set to conclude. Trump had previously stated that Russian President Putin had agreed to halt strikes on Kyiv and other areas due to cold weather, although the specifics of this agreement were unclear, and the Kremlin did not mention any connection between the alleged truce and weather conditions.

Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov reported on Telegram that a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia had been struck by Russian forces, resulting in six individuals being injured. Additionally, in the central city of Dnipro, a man and a woman lost their lives due to an enemy UAV strike, as confirmed by the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Ganzha. Furthermore, in Kherson, a southern Ukrainian city, a 59-year-old woman sustained injuries from Russian shelling early Sunday.
