Foo Fighters, the multi-platinum hard rock band, had a special guest appearance from Taylor Momsen, the frontwoman of The Pretty Reckless, during the MusiCares‘ 2026 Person Of The Year benefit gala. The event took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in honor of Mariah Carey. Momsen joined the Foos on stage for a cover of a song called “Hermit”, which was originally recorded by Carey in 1996 for her grunge album “Someone’s Ugly Daughter” with the band Chick. Despite Carey's initial plans to be the lead singer, label concerns led to Clarissa Dane re-recording the vocals. Carey's involvement in the project remained a secret for many years. With Carey in the audience, Momsen and the Foo Fighters performed the track, adding to the lineup of artists paying tribute to Carey at the gala event.
