Miley Cyrus Receives Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award at Palm Springs International Film Festival

Miley Cyrus was recently recognized with the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award at the 37th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival film awards gala for her work on the song 'Dream As One' in James Cameron's film 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'. The song, co-written with Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, and Simon Franglen, is featured in the third installment of the Avatar franchise. During her acceptance speech, Cyrus humorously acknowledged her shorter involvement in the project compared to the team's 16-year effort, drawing laughter from the audience.

Avatar actor Jack Champion presented the award to Cyrus, who was greeted with a performance of 'Dream As One' by an orchestra. Cyrus expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate on the film and praised the Palm Springs gala as a sophisticated event, joking about the absence of drag queens at the ceremony.

Cyrus highlighted the themes of unity and resilience in the song, drawing from her own experience rebuilding her Malibu home after the 2018 wildfires. Other notable honorees at the festival included Timothee Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Amanda Seyfried, Michael B Jordan, and Adam Sandler. 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' is currently showing in theaters.
