Matthieu Blazy's Debut Haute Couture Collection for Chanel: A Nature-Inspired Showcase at the Grand Palais

Matthieu Blazy is set to showcase his first haute couture collection for Chanel, following his successful womenswear collection in October. The highly anticipated show will take place at the Grand Palais in Paris on Tuesday morning, featuring a nature-inspired theme with floral silhouettes and a pastoral tone.
Blazy, a 41-year-old designer recruited from Bottega Veneta in December 2024, faces the challenge of embodying the Chanel line and moving past the Karl Lagerfeld era. His debut collection in October combined the house's heritage with modernity, featuring frayed tweed ensembles, colourful knitwear, and feathered skirts.
The upcoming haute couture show will be a test of Blazy's ability to interpret the house codes in a more couture-focused manner. His technical mastery was showcased in the Métiers d'art show in New York and on the Golden Globes red carpet with Selena Gomez's standout dress.
The day will also feature Armani's first haute couture collection without its founder Giorgio Armani, who passed away in September. A total of 28 houses will present their creations during haute couture week, catering to red carpets and high-profile events.
