BTS 'Arirang' World Tour: Opening Shows Sold Out During Presale, Additional Dates Added

BTS has once again proven their immense global popularity as tickets for the opening shows of their upcoming world tour, "Arirang," sold out completely during the presale period. The group will start their tour with three concerts at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province on April 9, 11, and 12, with all tickets being quickly snatched up by fans during the official fan club presale.
Fans who hold official Army memberships were given priority access during the presale, followed by general ticket sales opening the next day. Ticket purchases are limited to identity-verified accounts and are only available through designated official ticketing platforms to prevent unauthorized resale, transfers, proxy purchases, or scalping.
Presales for North American tour dates also began on Friday, with general sales starting the following day. The high demand for tickets led to additional shows being added in Tampa, Florida, and Stanford, California, making BTS the second artist to headline a solo concert at Stanford Stadium after Coldplay.
The "Arirang" world tour, BTS's first in nearly four years, will kick off in Goyang and continue with concerts at Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18 before traveling to North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. The tour will consist of 81 shows in 34 cities, making it the largest K-pop tour in terms of the number of performances.
In anticipation of the tour, BTS will release their fifth album, also titled "Arirang," featuring 14 tracks on March 20. The album release and the tour are highly anticipated by fans around the world, showcasing the group's continued success and global appeal.
