Martin Short found himself in a bit of a mishap at Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding when he mistakenly cut into the wedding cake before it was served. The incident was revealed by Short during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he described the wedding as perfect and beautiful. Short, along with his Only Murders in the Building co-stars and producers, including Steve Martin and Paul Rudd, were seated in a separate section at the back of the venue.

Short assumed there was a wedding cake for each section and, after a few hours without the cake being cut, he decided to take matters into his own hands. With a fork in hand and a cocktail in him, Short attempted to cut a piece of the cake for Steve Martin, only to realize that he had cut into the actual wedding cake. Despite his efforts to fix the cake with the fork, the damage was done, leaving some evidence behind.

The botched cake incident at Gomez and Blanco's wedding was captured in a photo shown by Kimmel during the interview. Short's upcoming comedy tour with Steve Martin is set to resume in San Antonio on January 29th. Fans can get tickets to see the duo in action.
