Introducing the National Harbor Sphere: A Cutting-Edge Entertainment Venue Coming to Washington, DC

Sphere Entertainment is planning to build a new entertainment venue, the National Harbor Sphere, near Washington, DC. This venue will be smaller than the Las Vegas Sphere, with a capacity of around 6,000 seats. Despite its size, it will boast cutting-edge technology such as an Exosphere made of LED panels, a high-resolution interior display plane, immersive sound system, haptic seating, and 4D environmental effects. The construction of the National Harbor Sphere will be funded through a mix of public and private sources, including $200 million in state, local, and private incentives. The project is subject to approval from Prince George’s County and the State of Maryland.
