A massive Purple Star Sapphire, weighing 3,563 carats, was revealed in the Sri Lankan capital by its owners. The gem, known as the "Star of Pure Land," is claimed to be the largest of its kind globally and is estimated to be valued at a minimum of $300 million. According to Ashan Amarasinghe, a consultant gemologist, this round-shaped gem is the largest known natural purple star sapphire in the world.
