Musical Extravaganza: Andrea Bocelli to Perform at Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

Renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, alongside Mariah Carey and Laura Pausini. The event will take place at Milan's San Siro stadium on Feb. 6. Bocelli previously performed at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, singing "Because We Believe."

Throughout his career, Bocelli has had the honor of singing for various dignitaries, including popes, U.S. presidents, and most recently, at King Charles III's coronation concert in 2023. The Olympic flame is currently making its way through Italy in anticipation of the Games, which will be held in Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and other locations in northern Italy.

The closing ceremony of the Winter Olympics is scheduled for Feb. 22 at Verona's ancient Roman Arena, with Italian ballet dancer Roberto Bolle headlining the event. The ceremony promises to be a spectacular conclusion to the sporting extravaganza, celebrating the achievements of the athletes and the spirit of the Games.
