BMAC Grammy Week Events: Cardi B Masterclass, AI in Music Discussion, and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Music Maker Dinner

The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) is set to host a series of events during Grammy Week in Los Angeles, featuring a Cardi B exclusive masterclass and a discussion on the evolving relationship between the music industry and AI. The two-day lineup includes the annual Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Music Maker Dinner.
The event kicks off with "Am I The Drama?: A Masterclass" on Jan. 27, exploring how Cardi B's authenticity has influenced culture and marketing. The panel includes Cardi B's management team and marketing experts, discussing her impact on the industry.
On Jan. 28, BMAC partners with Universal Music Group for "Artists & Music in the Age of AI," bringing together CEOs of AI companies, artists, songwriters, and executives to address ethical and creative concerns about AI in music.
The Grammy Week events conclude with the Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Music Maker Dinner, where the next-gen recipients of the BMAC x ASCAP x Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Music Maker Grant will be announced. The event will also honor Culture Collective founder Jonathan Azu with the BMAC Music Maker Impact Award.
ASCAP president Paul Williams praised Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for their mentorship and support of aspiring writer-producers. BMAC CEO Willie "Prophet" Stiggers emphasized the organization's commitment to providing real opportunities and pathways for the next generation of creators in the music industry.
