BTS V Dominates Japan: Record-Breaking Popularity and Magazine Sell-Outs

BTS member V has once again showcased his immense influence in Japan by dominating popularity rankings and selling out top magazines. V secured the top spot on Japan's idol ranking platform 'Nehan' for the 250th consecutive week and maintained his position on 'K-Board' for 216 weeks in the K-pop idol popularity ranking. He also claimed the No.1 spot in the Korean drama male actor poll and the “handsome men” election. V's strong fandom in Japan was further highlighted by 'K-pop Juice', where he topped overall rankings and favorites registration category consistently.

The February issue of 'GQ Korea' featuring V on the cover soared to the top of Rakuten’s Korean K-pop and Asia rankings for four consecutive days after pre-orders opened on Japan’s largest online shopping platform. The issue also secured the No.1 position on Amazon Japan in both the idol/celebrity merchandise bestseller list and the new releases category. Additionally, it ranked first on Qoo10 in the K-pop magazine and photobook category and led Yahoo Shopping Japan’s bestseller rankings, with 15,000 pre-orders on Qoo10 within two days.

Similarly, 'Vogue Japan'’s February issue experienced remarkable success during the pre-order phase, quickly selling out on Rakuten and alternating between No.1 and No.2 on Amazon Japan in the women’s magazine category. The issue was also a bestseller on Seven Net and Ringlee Dongdo, with CDJapan announcing sold-out status due to high demand. Even the flagship Miyawaki Bookstore faced sell-outs, offering limited restocks to meet the overwhelming demand.

With his record-breaking rankings and rapid sell-outs on major platforms, V continues to solidify his unmatched presence and enduring popularity in the Japanese market. BTS fans can expect more exciting news as the group announces dates and cities for their upcoming 2026–2027 world tour.
