Mustafa's Artists for Aid Benefit Show in Los Angeles: A Night of Music and Charity

Lucy Dacus had a special guest, Chappell Roan, join her for a performance at Mustafa's Sudan and Palestine aid benefit show in Los Angeles. The benefit show, organized by Mustafa, featured a lineup of artists like Clairo, Geese, Pedro Pascal, and more, and aimed to raise relief funds for Sudan and Palestine. All proceeds from the event were donated to the Sudanese Americans Physicians Association and the Palestinian children's relief funds equally.

In addition to Lucy Dacus and Chappell Roan, the benefit show included performances by Alex G, Blood Orange, Daniel Caesar, Faye Webster, Jazmine Sullivan, Noname, Noor Hindi, Omar Apollo, Raphael Saadiq, Ravyn Lenae, Rex Orange County, Safia Elhillo, Shawn Mendes, Snoh Aalegra, Tamino, and 070 Shake. Chappell Roan surprised the audience by joining Lucy Dacus on stage to perform Peter Gabriel's 'The Book of Love', a song they both love.

This year's benefit show marked Mustafa's third Artists for Aid event, with previous editions taking place in New Jersey in 2024 and in London in July last year. The London event featured artists like Clairo, Blood Orange, King Krule, Bint Mbareh, Daniel Caesar, Earl Sweatshirt, Nicolás Jaar, Ramy Youssef, and Yasiin Bey. Other charity efforts, such as Brian Eno's Together For Palestine concert, have also raised significant funds for causes like the 'Together For Palestine Fund'.

The Together For Palestine concert, held at London's OVO Wembley Arena, featured performances by Damon Albarn, Paul Weller, Rachel Chinouriri, Yasiin Bey, and more. The event raised nearly £1.5 million for Palestinian-led organizations like Taawon, Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and Palestine Medical Relief Service. These charity events highlight the power of music to effect change and support important causes around the world.
