Manhunt for Michael McKee: Arrest Warrant Issued in Connection with Tragic Deaths of Spencer and Monique Tepe

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man named Michael McKee in connection with the tragic deaths of Spencer Tepe and Monique Tepe, who were fatally shot in their Weinland Park home. McKee has been charged with two counts of murder, and police were able to identify him through neighborhood video surveillance that linked him to a vehicle seen arriving and leaving around the time of the shootings. The vehicle was later found in Rockford, Illinois, with evidence connecting McKee to it.
The incident came to light when Columbus police responded to a well-being check at the Tepe residence after co-workers and friends reported not hearing from the couple. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the bodies of Spencer and Monique. Concerns were raised when Spencer, a dentist, did not show up for work, prompting calls to 911 from worried colleagues who were unable to reach the couple.
Despite initial checks by the police revealing nothing suspicious, further calls were made as friends gathered at the house, hearing children inside but unable to make contact. A friend eventually entered the home and found Spencer's body, with both victims having been shot. Investigators found spent 9mm shell casings at the scene, but no weapon or signs of forced entry were present.
In an effort to gather more information, Columbus police asked the public for any digital evidence related to the incident within a specific area and time frame. The family of Spencer and Monique released a heartfelt statement expressing their devastation over the loss of the couple, highlighting their loving and generous personalities and the deep connection they shared.
Police later released video footage of a person of interest seen near the Tepe residence during the early hours of the morning, hoping for identification based on clothing or mannerisms. Columbus Division of Police Chief Elaine Bryant provided updates on the investigation, shedding light on the initial welfare check at the Tepe home. Obituary and funeral arrangements were also released, with the families remembering Spencer and Monique as vibrant and kind-hearted individuals who brought joy to those around them.
