Beyoncé Tour Stop Car Break-In Suspect Pleads Not Guilty: Case Update

A man accused of breaking into a rental car linked to Beyoncé's tour stop in Atlanta has pleaded not guilty in court. Kelvin Evans entered his plea on Wednesday, facing charges of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft and criminal trespass. Authorities claim that Evans stole valuable items from the vehicle, including jump drives with unreleased music, show plans, AirPods, and a MacBook Pro. The incident took place while Beyoncé was in Atlanta for her "Cowboy Carter" tour, which included four performances at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The theft was reported by Beyoncé's choreographer and a dancer on July 8 at a parking deck on Krog Street NE. The case attracted attention due to the sensitive nature of the stolen materials, which included unreleased music and production details. In September, law enforcement identified Evans as the suspect. Records indicate that he had been previously arrested in Hapeville on August 26 for a parole violation. Evans was released from Fulton County Jail in October after posting a $20,000 bond.
Evans is set to appear in court again on February 11 for a case management hearing as the legal proceedings move forward.
