Lost and Found: A Michigan Proposal Story on the SkyBridge at Boyne Mountain

A nerve-wracking proposal on a high Michigan suspension bridge took an unexpected turn when the engagement ring slipped from the man's grasp and fell 118 feet into the snow below.

Trevor Van Camp proposed to his girlfriend Danielle Jenkins under the Christmas lights on the SkyBridge at Boyne Mountain in Northern Michigan. However, as he knelt down to present the ring, it slipped through the grate.

Despite the initial panic, the couple decided to search for the lost ring. With permission from the resort, they, along with the night shift snowmaking supervisor, Pat Harper, spent two and a half hours combing the snowy mountain with metal detectors.

Just as they were about to give up, Harper's metal detector signaled a find. After some digging, he uncovered the ring, much to everyone's surprise and delight.

The couple was thrilled and grateful to Harper for locating the ring, turning what could have been a disaster into a memorable engagement story.

With the ring back on Jenkins' finger, the couple plans to return to the resort to complete their walk across the SkyBridge, enjoying the full experience they had interrupted in their search for the ring.
