Legal Action Taken in Tragic Death of Texas A&M Student Brianna Aguilera: Lawsuit Against Austin Blacks Rugby and UT Latin Economics and Business Association

A tragic incident involving the death of Texas A&M student Brianna Aguilera has led to legal action being taken by her parents. Attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he is representing Brianna's parents in a lawsuit against Austin Blacks Rugby and UT Latin Economics and Business Association. The lawsuit alleges that Brianna, a minor, was overserved while tailgating, along with other minors. The lawsuit aims to hold accountable those involved in overserving Brianna and other minors, as well as to gather more information through subpoenas and witness testimonies.

Buzbee criticized the Austin Police Department's investigation during a news conference, stating that a witness who heard what was happening in the unit Brianna was in was never interviewed by the police. The family has called for a new investigation and a second autopsy, disputing the police's conclusion that Brianna's death was a suicide. The case remains an active death investigation, with the family rejecting the suicide theory and seeking further investigation by the Texas Rangers.

The incident occurred when Aguilera fell from the balcony of a 17th-floor apartment in Austin. Surveillance footage showed her entering the apartment with friends after tailgating earlier in the day. Witnesses reported an argument during a phone call she made shortly before her death. The police recovered a deleted digital suicide note from her phone, but the family and their attorney find the circumstances surrounding her death suspicious and are pushing for a more thorough investigation.

The family's attorney has criticized the police for jumping to conclusions and not conducting a proper investigation. The case remains open, with the Travis County Medical Examiner yet to release autopsy results. The family's quest for justice and answers continues as they seek a more comprehensive investigation into the tragic death of Brianna Aguilera.
