US Visa Bond Policy: Impact on African Passport Holders

The Trump administration has expanded the list of countries whose passport holders must pay up to $15,000 in bonds to apply for entry into the United States. This new requirement affects seven additional countries, with five of them located in Africa. With this update, a total of thirteen countries, predominantly from Africa, are now subject to this bond policy, making the visa application process financially burdensome for many individuals.
