BTS Announces Comeback in 2026: A Look at Their Journey and Future Plans

BTS, the popular K-pop group, is set to make a comeback in 2026 after a four-year hiatus. The group, consisting of RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook, and j-hope, took a break to complete South Korea's mandatory military service. The comeback date is confirmed for March 20, as announced by BigHit Music on social media.
The members of BTS staggered their enlistments to allow for individual projects during the group's break. Rapper Suga, the last member to be released from his social service duties in June 2025, opted for this alternative due to a shoulder injury. The other six members served in the army during their hiatus.
Last summer, BTS hinted at a world tour and revealed plans for a new album in 2026. They began working on the project in July 2025, emphasizing that the album would showcase each member's thoughts and ideas. This upcoming album will be their first since 2022's "Proof," the 2021 Japanese compilation album "BTS, the Best," and their 2020 studio album "Be."
Fans can anticipate the group's return with excitement as BTS gears up for their highly anticipated comeback in March 2026.
