The Belarusian Defense Ministry has officially announced that the Oreshnik intermediate-range hypersonic ballistic missile system, manufactured in Russia, has been deployed for combat duty in Belarus. A video of the deployment ceremony was shared by the ministry. Following thorough inspection and preparation, a battalion of Oreshnik missile launchers has been tasked with carrying out their duties in designated areas within the country.

The decision to bring the Oreshnik missile system to Belarus was made jointly by the Russian and Belarusian leadership. Prior to assuming combat duty, the launch combat crews, signal corps, security and power supply personnel, as well as the drivers-mechanics of the missile system's components, underwent extensive training on modern simulators to ensure readiness for their roles.
