V's 30th Birthday Celebration: A Spectacular Fan Tribute Across South Korea
V of BTS has recently turned 30, receiving immense love and support from fans worldwide. This marks his first birthday celebration outside the military since 2022, as he spent the past two birthdays fulfilling his mandatory military service. To commemorate his return and milestone birthday, fans organized various large-scale projects throughout South Korea.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the installation of a 6-meter-tall giant V doll in front of the Hangang Cruise Terminal, a prominent location in Hangang Park. The doll, dressed in a Los Angeles Dodgers uniform, pays homage to V's ceremonial first pitch at Dodger Stadium in August 2025. Additionally, a dedicated photo spot featuring a 3-meter-tall Christmas tree and V standees was set up at the park next to HYBE, providing fans with the perfect backdrop for photos.
Fans also gathered at a birthday display and photo zone across from Seongsu XYZ, creating a meetup spot for photo opportunities. V's birthday advertisements were prominently displayed on lightbox screens in subway stations, reaching a vast audience of over a million passengers daily. Furthermore, buses wrapped in V's birthday greetings were stationed outside the HYBE building, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The celebration extended to Seoul's busiest areas, with six massive screens exceeding 1,500㎡ showcasing V's birthday messages in locations like Gangnam, Hongdae, Sinchon, Myeongdong, and Seoul Station. Additionally, outdoor digital screens across the city illuminated in honor of V's birthday. A lapping advertisement at Seongsu-dong's AK Valley, a popular landmark with high foot traffic, was also unveiled for the occasion.
Moreover, more than 30 café events were organized across various locations, each offering a unique theme or aesthetic for fans to enjoy. These cafés served as gathering spaces where fans could come together, connect, and express their admiration for V. The widespread celebration truly showcased the love and appreciation fans have for V on his special day.
