Chad Ollinger from Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch Charged with Open Murder in Las Vegas Prison

Chad Ollinger, a cast member of the TV show Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, has been charged with open murder after his cellmate was found dead in a Las Vegas prison. The incident was discovered during a routine inspection at the Clark County Detention Center. Ollinger, 41, was rebooked by police detectives as the investigation into the death continues.
Corrections officers found the male inmate motionless in a cell with apparent blunt force injuries. Despite immediate aid, the inmate was pronounced dead at the scene. LVMPD detectives determined that a physical altercation had taken place between the victim and Ollinger, leading to the murder charge.
Ollinger was already in custody on charges of being a fugitive from another state and contempt of court. He is scheduled for a hearing on the open murder charge on December 30. Additionally, he was previously arrested in Texas in November 2024 for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle and on foot.
Chad Ollinger has been a part of all five seasons of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, a show that follows him and his father as they search for buried gold on their Utah property. Ollinger, who is married with four children, has faced legal troubles in the past and is currently awaiting further legal proceedings related to the recent murder charge.
