Bescom Advisory: Scheduled Power Outages in Bengaluru on December 28 and 29

Bengaluru residents should be prepared for power outages on December 28 and 29 due to emergency maintenance work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL). The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) has issued an advisory informing residents of scheduled disruptions in various neighborhoods. Power supply will be interrupted at different intervals starting late on December 27 and continuing through December 29, with outages scheduled from 11 pm on December 27 until 5 am, and additional disruptions between 9 am and 12 noon on both December 28 and 29. Areas such as Hebbal, RT Nagar, Vidyanagar, and Ashokanagar are expected to be affected during this period.
Bescom has identified specific localities that will experience power supply disruptions on December 28 and 29 from 9 am to 12 noon due to maintenance activities. The affected areas include Vinayak Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Shobha Apartment, 8th Mile, Ramaiah Layout, Havanur Extension, Narayana Layout, Vidya School area, Kuvempunagar, Vidya Bus Stand, Reliance Fresh vicinity, Munikondappa Layout, Ashokanagar, Vidyanagar, Defence Colony, Manjunathnagar, Mahalakshmi Nagar, Katarayanagar, Soap Factory Layout, Vijayalakshmi Layout, Andanappa Layout, BTS Layout, Siddheshwara Layout, Sasuveghatta, Soladevanahalli (partial), Tarabanahalli Main Road, Hesaraghatta Main Road, Visvesvaraya Layout, Royal Enclave, Bhairaveshwar Circle, and surrounding areas.
Bescom has also announced extended power cuts on December 28, with outages lasting seven to eight hours due to quarterly maintenance work at multiple substations. Power supply will be disrupted from 10 am to 5 pm in areas connected to the 66/11 KV Byadarahalli and 66/11 KV Srigandhakaval stations. The areas under the 66/11 KV Byadarahalli Station include Mahadeshwaranagar, Prasanna Layout, Hosahalli, Kempegowda Nagar, Gollarahalli, Nedakerappa Industrial Area, Herohalli, Tunganagar, Vigneshwaranagar, Annapoorneshwari Nagar, Anjanagiri, Sunkadakatte, and surrounding areas. The areas under the 66/11 KV Srigandhakaval Station include NGEF Layout, Balaji Layout, MPM Layout, Sir MV 9th Block, Mallathahalli, Kengunte, Ullal Main Road, Lakshmi Hospital area, Channigappa Industrial Area, Kavitha Hospital, Vokkaligara Sangha Hostel, Annapoorneshwari Sangha Hostel, Annapoorneshwari School (Sumanahalli), Sunkadakatte Main Road, Hoysalanagar, Mohan Theatre vicinity, Shiva Farm, Maruthi Nagar, and surrounding areas. Additionally, maintenance work at the Soladevanahalli substation on Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm is expected to result in power outages lasting up to eight hours in connected areas.
Residents are advised to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions during the scheduled power cuts.
