Lady Gaga in Harlequin Live – One Night Only: A Christmas Eve Surprise for Fans

Lady Gaga is set to surprise her fans with a special Christmas Eve gift – the Lady Gaga in Harlequin Live – One Night Only concert film. The film will premiere on her YouTube channel on December 24 at 4pm PT and midnight GMT. The concert features alternative versions of songs from the Joker: Folie a Deux soundtrack album, where Gaga takes on the role of Harley Quinn from DC Comics. The performance, held at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, was attended by a select group of fans known as Little Monsters. Gaga chose to release the film during the holiday season, describing it as the perfect time for a rebellious project.

During a conversation with the Grammy Museum, Gaga shared her excitement about sharing the concert film with her fans. She explained that the decision to release it at Christmas was intentional, as they wanted to let the lore of the Belasco performance grow before sharing it with a wider audience. The concert includes rock covers of popular songs like That's Entertainment and When the Saints Go Marching In, along with an original track titled Happy Mistake. Gaga was joined by a six-piece band for the performance.

While on the Mayhem Ball Tour, Gaga revealed that she has been working on new music and finds inspiration from interacting with her fans during live shows. Speculation arose about a possible collaboration between Gaga and The Weeknd after he shared a throwback photo of her on social media. When asked about the post, Gaga remained secretive but expressed her admiration for The Weeknd. Fans can look forward to the release of the concert film as a special Christmas present from Lady Gaga.
