Groovy Twist: A Unique Cover of the 2025 Hit Song 'Die With A Smile' by Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga
Every year, my producer and I have a tradition of recording a cover of a hit song from the ending year as a Christmas gift for my fans. This year, we chose a song that was released in August 2024, breaking our tradition. Despite this, the song we picked, "Die With A Smile" by Bruno Mars & Lady Gaga, is the best-selling and most-streamed song of 2025, yet it seems unfamiliar to many. Our version of the song aims to give it a groovy, primitive, and bombastic twist, deviating from the original elegant and timeless sound.
As I prepare to record the vocals for the cover with a slight cold, my producer will work on mixing and mastering the song quickly before enjoying a traditional local cod dish in Bergen. The cover will be released as our annual Christmas gift to the fans, hoping they will enjoy our unique take on the popular song. Despite the challenges of the past year, music continues to be a source of solace and connection for many, and I am excited to share more music with my upcoming album and EP in the coming year.
