Kristin Cabot: A Journey of Reflection and Redemption

Kristin Cabot, the woman who found herself in the spotlight after a viral "kiss cam" moment at a Coldplay concert, has decided to share her side of the story. The incident, captured on video during the July 16 concert in Boston, led to Cabot's resignation from her position as the head of HR at Astronomer, a tech company. The video, shared on TikTok, showed Cabot and former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron embracing on a VIP balcony before realizing they were on the concert Jumbotron.

In an interview with The New York Times, Cabot admitted to making a mistake and acting inappropriately with her boss after having a few drinks. She emphasized that she took accountability for her actions and chose to give up her career as a result. Cabot, who was going through a separation from her husband at the time, expressed her desire for her children to understand that it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them.

Following the release of the viral video, Cabot received numerous death threats and faced backlash from the public, including other women. She expressed disappointment in how women sometimes hold each other back instead of supporting one another. Despite keeping in touch with Byron initially after the incident, Cabot revealed that they have had minimal contact since September to allow for healing and moving on.

Nearly six months after the Coldplay concert, Cabot is still adjusting to the aftermath and searching for a new job. She has adopted a more lighthearted approach to her situation, as evidenced by her purchase of a Victoria Beckham T-shirt with the words, "Yes It's Me." The incident has had a profound impact on Cabot's life, prompting her to reflect on the consequences of her actions and the importance of taking responsibility for one's behavior.
