Stråle: Embracing Melodic Metal with 'Reformation' EP and 'Blinding Lights' Cover

Stråle, a melodic metal band from Helsinki, Finland, has released a revamped version of The Weeknd's hit song "Blinding Lights" as part of their new EP "Reformation," available digitally through Frontiers Music Srl. The band's lead singer, Daniel Jakobsson, expressed his excitement about performing the song live and the audience's enthusiastic response. Teemu Aalto, who mixed and produced the track, shared his initial doubts but was impressed by the band's demo and vocal tracks, leading to a successful collaboration in creating the song.
Stråle, formed in 2009, blends Scandinavian melancholy, modern metal power, and cinematic emotion in their music. Following their debut album "Bourbon Souls," the band underwent a creative transformation with new members, vocalist Daniel Jakobsson and guitarist Jaakko Suomalainen, enhancing their sound. The EP "Reformation," produced by Teemu Aalto and Jani Autero and mixed/mastered by Jacob Hansen, showcases the band's evolution with emotionally charged tracks like "Resist & Reform" and "Close Is Not Enough," along with their cover of "Blinding Lights" and the ballad "The Flame."
The band's recent European tour with Orphaned Land in 2024 and their growing fanbase across Europe have solidified Stråle's position in the metal scene. With a powerful blend of emotion, melody, and contemporary Nordic metal, Stråle's music resonates with audiences and showcases their musical prowess. "Reformation" marks a new chapter for Stråle, highlighting their musical growth and strong connection as a band. The EP features tracks like "Resist and Reform," "Close Is Not Enough," "The Heart You Tore Apart," "Destined For Desire," "Blinding Lights" (The Weeknd Cover), and "The Flame."
