Kentucky Woman Arrested for Spraying Substance on DoorDash Customers' Food: A Case of Consumer Product Tampering

A Kentucky woman has been arrested on felony charges after allegedly spraying a substance on DoorDash customers' food, causing them to become ill. Kourtney N. Stevenson was taken into custody by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office on Battery and Consumer Product Tampering charges. The victims reported experiencing burning sensations in their mouth, nose, throat, and stomachs after consuming the food. DoorDash records identified Stevenson as the Dasher responsible for the delivery. She claimed to have used pepper spray to ward off a spider while making the delivery, but authorities found her explanation questionable. Stevenson was arrested in Kentucky and will be extradited to Indiana to face charges. Sheriff Noah Robinson emphasized the importance of food safety and commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies in resolving the case.
