Violence Strikes Again at Macy's: Woman Arrested for Stabbing Incident
A woman has been taken into custody following a stabbing incident at the Macy's flagship store in Manhattan. Kerri Aherne, 43, from Massachusetts, faces charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. Police responded to the seventh floor of Macy's Herald Square after reports of an ongoing assault around 1:15 p.m. A 38-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds to her back and a cut on her right arm. She was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
This recent incident marks the second assault at Macy's in the past month. On November 19, a 71-year-old man was attacked while shopping with his family. Donna Francis, 65, allegedly struck him in the head four times with an object, suspected to be a cell phone. The victim suffered deep internal bruising and was treated at a nearby hospital. Francis was arrested and charged with assault in that case.
