Recall Alert: Contaminated Nasal Spray from Homeopathic Company in Albuquerque

A natural nasal spray produced by a homeopathic pharmaceutical company in Albuquerque is being recalled due to contamination with yeast, mold, and bacteria. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the voluntary recall of one lot of MediNatura New Mexico's ReBoost nasal spray. While no adverse effects have been reported, there is a risk of harm to health, especially for individuals with compromised immune systems. The spray is marketed as a nonaddictive nasal decongestant containing herbs and supplements. Contamination with Achromobacter bacteria, a pathogen found in water and soil, was also detected in tests.

Customers are advised to stop using the nasal spray immediately. Those who purchased it directly from MediNatura can contact the company for a refund, while others should return it to the retailer where it was bought. The company's Albuquerque facility, which employs around 30 people, is located near the Sandia Science & Technology Park.
