Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Announces Key Leadership Appointments Across Non-Insurance and Insurance Operations

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has made significant leadership appointments in its non-insurance and insurance operations, as well as in corporate roles. Adam M. Johnson, CEO of NetJets, has been named President of the Consumer Products, Service, and Retailing businesses of Berkshire Hathaway. Gregory E. Abel will oversee the remaining non-insurance businesses. Nancy L. Pierce has been appointed CEO of GEICO, while Todd A. Combs will join JPMorgan Chase & Co. Marc D. Hamburg will retire as CFO, with Charles C. Chang succeeding him. Michael J. O’Sullivan has been appointed General Counsel.
Adam M. Johnson, with extensive experience at NetJets, has been appointed President of the Consumer Products, Service, and Retailing businesses of Berkshire Hathaway. Gregory E. Hamburg, the current CFO, will retire on June 1, 2027, after 40 years of service. Charles C. Chang will succeed him as CFO on June 1, 2026. Michael J. O’Sullivan has been appointed General Counsel, effective January 1, 2026.
