A suspect linked to the shooting of Jets cornerback Kris Boyd outside a Midtown restaurant has been apprehended in Buffalo. The 20-year-old individual is being transported back to New York City to face charges related to the incident that occurred on November 16. Boyd was shot in the stomach outside the Asian fusion restaurant Sei Less on West 38th Street during the early hours of the morning.

Boyd, accompanied by Jets linebacker Jamien Sherwood and wide receiver Irvin Charles, was involved in a confrontation with a group of individuals who mocked their attire. Following the altercation inside the establishment, a scuffle erupted on the street, leading to gunshots being fired. Boyd sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Surveillance footage captured the chaotic scene outside the restaurant, showing a brawl escalating into gunfire. The person of interest in the case has a history of prior arrests, with several charges sealed from public record. His criminal record includes offenses such as unlawful possession of personal identification and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The suspect has faced legal trouble in the past, including arrests as an adolescent offender for reckless endangerment and a sealed juvenile arrest for robbery. Law enforcement sources are working to bring the individual back to New York City to face the consequences of his alleged involvement in the shooting incident.
