The Late Late Toy Show 2021: A Whimsical Journey to Who-ville with the Grinch
The highly anticipated theme for tonight's Late Late Toy Show has been revealed, and it's none other than the lovable yet grumpy character, the Grinch. The stage will be transformed into the whimsical Who-ville from Dr. Seuss' classic tale, How The Grinch Stole Christmas. More than 300 children from all over the country will showcase their talents and test out toys, promising dazzling performances and heartwarming moments. The show will kick off with a narration by Irish actor Liam Neeson, adding to the excitement of the evening.
In a first for the show, RTÉ will offer live audio description for blind and visually impaired viewers, making the experience more inclusive. Host Patrick Kielty is set to embrace the Grinch persona, highlighting the character's softer side and the true spirit of Christmas. The show will feature Irish toys and books, as well as surprise guests, adding to the festive cheer. Kielty, in his third year as host, shared his post-show ritual of reflecting on the event's success, appreciating the magic of the Toy Show.
