Winning Names Unveiled: ACHD's Name a Plow Contest Champions for Winter 2022
The Ada County Highway District recently announced the winners of its third annual Name a Plow contest, with the public's choice being "Taylor Drift" by Bruce Stevenson of Meridian. The employee-submitted winner is "Snowzooka" by Joey Wallace, a leadworker. Both names will be featured on ACHD snow plows that will be in action this winter. The winners will each receive a $100 gift card for their creative submissions.
These new names will be added to ACHD's existing lineup of named snowplows, which includes "Ashton Jeanty," "CTRL+SALT+DELETE," "Snotato," "The Big Leplowski," "Scoop Dogg," "PlowyMcPlowface," "Clearapathra," and "Sled Zeppelin." The community's involvement in naming the snowplows adds a fun and engaging element to the winter road maintenance efforts in Ada County.
