Controversial Idaho Saloon Offers Free Beer for Assisting ICE: A Deep Dive

A local Idaho saloon gained attention on social media for offering free beer to anyone who assists Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in identifying and deporting illegal immigrants. The Old State Saloon in Eagle, Idaho, made the announcement on social media, promising free beer for one month to those who help ICE deport illegal immigrants from Idaho. The saloon also mentioned the possibility of awarding multiple months of free beer to individuals who assist in multiple deportations.
To claim the free beer, individuals are required to provide evidence, such as photos and videos, to the saloon's email address dedicated to deportations. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shared the saloon's promotion on social media, expressing their surprise with a GIF. The saloon responded enthusiastically, stating, "Let's go! Deport them all!"
Some social media users suggested creating a leaderboard to recognize the "Deporter of the Year" who could win additional free beer. The saloon approved at least one person, Ryan Spoon, for free beer after he provided evidence of assisting ICE in making an arrest. Conservative Gen Z influencer Bo Loudon praised the saloon's initiative, calling it an "incredible idea" and expressing his love for the United States.
While many supported the saloon's offer, others called for boycotts and negative reviews. The saloon faced backlash from some individuals, leading to negative Google reviews and criticism from what they referred to as the "loser LEFT." The saloon's social media bio highlighted that they are disliked by liberals worldwide and claimed to be the "Birthplace of Heterosexual Awesomeness Month."
In response to Pride Month, the saloon's owner announced plans to promote "Heterosexual Awesomeness Month" in 2024, offering discounts and free beer to heterosexual individuals and couples throughout June. The saloon also sells merchandise on its website, including shirts with the slogan "Make America Straight Again." Despite the attention and controversy, the Department of Homeland Security did not provide a comment in response to inquiries from Fox News Digital.
