GoldN'Blues Choir from Franklin High School Wins NBC's 'Star Choir' Competition

Kelly Clarkson and her band Y’all, in collaboration with NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47, have selected the GoldN'Blues student choir from Franklin High School in Somerset, NJ as the winner of the annual “Star Choir” competition. The choir will perform “Joy to the World” during NBC’s broadcast of “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on December 3 at 7pm. The GoldN'Blues Choir stood out among a record number of entries this year, bringing holiday spirit and enthusiasm to their performance.
The GoldN'Blues Choir, led by choir director Kiera Radvanski, is known for their contemporary pop acapella style as the GoldN'Blues and traditional Renaissance Madrigal style as the Madrigals. The choir has been an integral part of the Franklin Township community, spreading holiday cheer at local events and senior living spaces. The choir's success is attributed to the dedication of their advisor, Ms. Radvanski, and the hard work of the students in preparing for the competition.
Franklin High School will receive a $5,000 donation from NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 to support the choir's national performance. Additionally, Bulova, the sponsor of the Star Choir competition, will provide an additional $5,000 donation to the school and gift each student a watch. This opportunity to perform under the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City is a dream come true for the students, many of whom will be experiencing this for the first time.
