Miraculous Awakening: Woman in Coffin Moves Before Cremation at Wat Rat Prakhong Tham
A surprising incident occurred at Wat Rat Prakhong Tham, a Buddhist temple in Nonthaburi, Thailand, when a woman in a coffin started moving before her cremation. The temple staff were shocked to see the woman, who had been brought in for cremation, slightly moving her arms and head in the coffin placed in a pick-up truck.
The 65-year-old woman's brother had driven her from Phitsanulok province to the temple for cremation. Upon hearing a faint knock from the coffin, the temple staff decided to open it, only to find the woman inside, slightly opening her eyes and knocking on the coffin's side. It was revealed that the woman had been bedridden for two years and had appeared unresponsive for the past two days.
The woman's brother had initially attempted to donate her organs at a hospital in Bangkok, but was refused due to the lack of an official death certificate. Seeking a free cremation service, he approached the temple, but was also turned away for the same reason. As the temple staff were explaining the process of obtaining a death certificate, they heard the knocking from the coffin and promptly sent the woman to a nearby hospital.
The temple's abbot assured that the woman's medical expenses would be covered by the temple. The incident left everyone involved surprised and grateful for the unexpected turn of events.
