Empowering Youth: Rihanna Reynolds' Journey to Success

A teenager from Ballyshannon was recently honored at the 2025 National Garda Youth Awards for her outstanding achievements. Rihanna Reynolds received a Special Achievement Award for her innovative tool designed to help young individuals with ADHD identify and express their emotions. Nominated by Foróige, Rihanna developed this tool while participating in Foróige’s NFTE program during her Transition Year at Colaiste Colmchille in Ballyshannon. Having been diagnosed with ADHD and other behavioral conditions at a young age, Rihanna's creation was inspired by her personal experiences.
Rihanna's business, R.R.R, made it to the finals of the NFTE Youth Entrepreneur of the Year competition in 2024, showcasing her entrepreneurial skills and dedication. An Garda Síochána praised Rihanna's accomplishments, highlighting her as a role model for the youth in her community. They commended her for openly sharing her experiences and encouraging her peers to seek support when needed. Rihanna's growth, both personally and professionally, has been acknowledged through her achievements in the NFTE program, the admiration of her teachers, and the positive impact she has on her peers.
