Scotland's Tartan Army Causes Seismic Activity in Glasgow with World Cup Qualification Celebration

Scotland's Tartan Army celebrated their men's team qualifying for the World Cup after 28 years, causing seismic activity in Glasgow. The British Geological Survey (BGS) recorded a small earthquake-like event when Kenny McLean scored against Denmark. The BGS station in Dalmarnock detected the seismic activity, with a surge also noted when Kieran Tierney scored. The main peak of activity occurred when McLean scored from the halfway line, generating power equivalent to 200kW and reaching speeds of 2,013 mph. The BGS compared this event to natural earthquakes in the UK, noting that only about 30 are significant enough to be felt by people each year.
