Rescue Operation Underway: Carnival Radiance Responds to Overboard Alert near Ensenada, Mexico
A rescue operation is currently in progress as the Carnival Radiance cruise ship received an alert regarding a potential overboard situation near Ensenada, Mexico. The crew is responding to the alert and returning to the area where the individual was potentially sighted in the water to conduct the rescue operation.
The Carnival Radiance typically sails from Long Beach, California, to Ensenada, which is located approximately 75 miles south of the southern border near San Diego. The U.S. Coast Guard has been contacted for further assistance in the ongoing rescue operation.
In a separate incident earlier this month, a Carnival passenger, Anna Kepner, a varsity cheerleader with aspirations of joining the Navy and becoming a K-9 police officer, was tragically found dead on a Carnival ship while it was in the Gulf of America. The ship returned to PortMiami as scheduled, and the FBI confirmed that there was no safety threat aboard during its current voyage.
