She made a statement on the red carpet at the London premiere of the film by wearing a special black dress from the 1952 musical Lovely To Look At, designed by the late Gilbert Adrian, known for his work on The Wizard of Oz. Despite the darker colors not directly referencing Glinda, Ariana believes it still reflects a more mature and emotional side of the character's story arc.
