Roblox is set to introduce facial age verification checks for users who wish to access communication features on the platform starting next month. The new measure aims to enhance safety by limiting interactions between minors and adults. Initially, the process will be optional, but it will become mandatory in select markets like Australia, the Netherlands, and New Zealand in early December, with plans to expand to the U.S. and other regions by January 2026. Upon completion, users will be categorized into one of six age groups, enabling them to communicate only with peers in their age group or similar categories.
