Governor Kathy Hochul's Approval Ratings Dip, But Lead Over Rivals Remains Strong

Governor Kathy Hochul's approval ratings have seen a decline in recent weeks, as per the latest polling data from Siena College Research Institute. In a November poll, Hochul's favorability and job approval ratings both experienced a decrease. Her favorability dropped from 45% in favor and 42% not in favor to 43% in favor and 45% not in favor. Similarly, her job approval ratings decreased from 54% approval and 40% disapproval to 52% approval and 43% disapproval.
Despite the decline in her ratings, Governor Hochul maintains a significant lead over her gubernatorial rivals. In the Democratic primary, she holds a commanding 40-point lead over Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado, with 56% of support compared to Delgado's 16%. Additionally, Hochul enjoys a 20-point lead over Republican candidate U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik from Saratoga, with 52% of support against Stefanik's 32%.
The latest polling data indicates that Governor Kathy Hochul's approval ratings have slightly decreased in recent weeks, with her favorability and job approval ratings experiencing a dip. However, she continues to maintain a substantial lead over her gubernatorial rivals in both the Democratic primary and against the Republican contender. Despite the slip in her ratings, Hochul remains a strong frontrunner in the upcoming elections.
