Apple has introduced a new limited edition item called the iPhone Pocket, created in collaboration with Issey Miyake. This unique pocket is designed to hold an iPhone and other small items, with a 3D-knitted construction inspired by the concept of "a piece of cloth." The design director of Miyake Design Studio, Yoshiyuki Miyamae, emphasized the bond between the iPhone and its user, highlighting the universal aesthetic and versatile use of Apple products.
The iPhone Pocket is available in two versions: a crossbody version priced at $229.95 in blue, brown, or black, and a shorter version priced at $149.95 in the same colors plus vivid orange, yellow, purple, pink, and turquoise. The pocket can be worn over the arm or attached to a bag, offering a stylish and functional accessory for iPhone users. Apple's Molly Anderson noted the shared design approach of Apple and Issey Miyake, focusing on craftsmanship, simplicity, and delight in their products.
Starting on November 14, the iPhone Pocket will be available for purchase online and at select Apple Store locations in the U.S., France, China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the U.K. This collaboration between Apple and Issey Miyake aims to enhance the user experience and provide a fashionable accessory that complements Apple products.
