Tyla, fresh off her Grammy nomination for best African music performance, kicked off her We Wanna Party Tour at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. The tour, in support of her WWP EP, will see Tyla performing in various Asian countries like China, India, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia. Fans were treated to a sexy tour interlude featuring a mix of Beyoncé’s “Yoncé,” Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake,” and Tyla’s own track “Body Go.” The tour also included a mashup of Tyla’s “Push 2 Start” and Beyoncé’s “Baby Boy.”
This tour marks Tyla’s first headlining trek since her debut album tour in 2024. The We Wanna Party Tour will include 10 additional shows, culminating in a performance at Dubai’s Sole DXB festival. Tyla’s recent release, “Chanel,” debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, adding to her list of chart-topping hits.
In September, Tyla won her second Moonperson at the MTV Video Music Awards for best Afrobeats, making her the first two-time winner in the category.
