Community News: Bray Courthouse Case and Hacketstown NS Donation Highlight Local Events
Bray Courthouse recently saw Abbie Glynn, a 19-year-old resident of Hollybrook Park, Bray, plead guilty to theft from Vance and Wilson Pharmacy in Bray. The incident involved Ms. Glynn stealing a bottle of Britney Spears perfume valued at €30 on December 9, 2024. She was identified through CCTV footage, leading to her arrest. With a history of 40 previous convictions, Ms. Glynn's defense counsel highlighted her struggles with addiction to crack cocaine, alcohol, and other substances, describing her life as chaotic and out of control. Despite recent engagement with services post-release from the Dóchas Centre, Ms. Glynn awaits sentencing on January 22, 2026.
In a separate event, Hacketstown NS students received a generous donation of 30 athletics tops featuring the St Joseph’s logo from a local credit union. This donation will enable the budding athletes to proudly represent their school at upcoming competitions.
