Important Recall Notice: Costco's Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG

Costco has recently issued a recall for its Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG due to the risk of bottles breaking or shattering. The recall affects 941,000 bottles of the popular prosecco, with reports of 10 incidents of bottles breaking and one resulting injury. This recall follows a previous warning issued by F&F Fine Wines International, Inc., the importer and distributor of the wine, regarding the potential danger of unopened bottles shattering unexpectedly.
The affected Kirkland prosecco was sold at Costco stores in several states from April 2025 to August 2025. Customers who purchased the product are advised to stop using the bottles immediately. To dispose of the wine safely, customers should wrap the unopened bottle in paper towels, place it in a plastic bag, and then discard it in the garbage to prevent any risk from shattered glass. Those who bought the Kirkland prosecco can contact Ethica Wines for a full refund by emailing [email protected].
