Grammy Awards 2026 Nominations: Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga Lead the Pack
The Grammy Awards 2026 nominations were announced, with rapper Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with nine nods, followed by Lady Gaga with seven nominations. Lamar's album "GNX" and Gaga's "MAYHEM" are both up for album of the year. Other contenders in the category include Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber, and Sabrina Carpenter. Taylor Swift's "The Life of a Showgirl" missed the eligibility window for this year's awards.
Bad Bunny, who will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, received a total of six nominations, including record, song, and album of the year. KPop songs made an appearance in the song of the year category with tracks from the soundtrack of "KPop Demon Hunters" and Rose and Bruno Mars. Gaga's "Abracadabra," Lamar and SZA's "luther," and Bad Bunny's "DtMF" are also in the running for record of the year.
The best new artist category features Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and others. Thomas, known for his R&B and soul music, also received a nomination for album of the year for "Mutt." The Grammy winners will be decided by the Recording Academy's voting members and revealed at a ceremony in Los Angeles on February 1.
