Blake Lively Files $161 Million Lawsuit Against Co-Star Justin Baldoni: Allegations of Smear Campaign and Reputational Harm

Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her co-star and director Justin Baldoni, alleging that he orchestrated a smear campaign against her in response to her sexual harassment complaints on set. Lively's legal team claims that she has suffered losses amounting to $161 million in damages, including past and future earnings from acting, producing, speaking engagements, and endorsements, as well as reputational harm. Her beauty brand, Blake Brown, and drinks company, Betty Buzz/Betty Booze, have also reportedly incurred significant losses. Baldoni, who denies the allegations, previously sought $400 million in damages from Lively, but his defamation and extortion lawsuit against her and Ryan Reynolds was dismissed. The case involves a list of celebrities who may have relevant information, such as Taylor Swift, Emily Blunt, Scooter Braun, Hugh Jackman, and Gigi Hadid, although their testimony may not be required at the trial scheduled for March 2026.
