Nancy Mace to Sue Charleston International Airport and American Airlines for Defamation

Representative Nancy Mace has announced her plans to file a lawsuit against Charleston International Airport and American Airlines for defamation. Mace alleges that airport and airline employees collaborated to create misleading incident reports regarding an alleged verbal altercation she had with law enforcement on October 30. Mace, who is running for governor of South Carolina, claims that the fabricated reports have damaged her reputation, violated her civil rights, and interfered with her campaign. She is being represented by Larry Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch, who believes that Mace was the target of a deliberate effort to tarnish her character through falsified documentation.
Mace's legal team has indicated that the lawsuit may name individuals such as airport CEO Elliott Summey, several law enforcement officers, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, and an American Airlines gate agent. The situation is still unfolding, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
